DigitalBridge established EdgePoint Infrastructure to maximize market development in Asia-Pacific.

Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (NYSE: DBRG), a global digital infrastructure real estate investment trust (REIT) from Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday (7/7) announced the establishment of EdgePoint Infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific market.

So far, EdgePoint already has more than 10,000 telecommunication towers in Indonesia and Malaysia through PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk., PT EPID Menara Assetco, and EdgePoint Towers Sdn. Bhd.

“We are proud to announce the formation of EdgePoint Infrastructure and believe that the company is on track to become the leading independent tower platform in Asia Pacific,” said Justin Chang, Managing Director and Head of Asia at DigitalBrige.

DigitalBridge, which has main offices in Los Angeles, New York, London and Singapore, formed EdgePoint Infrastructure with Suresh Sidhu, former CEO of Edotco Group Sdn. Bhd., a telecommunications tower operator based in Malaysia.

Suresh, who is now CEO of EdgePoint Holdco, Singapore, said that DigitalBridge and EdgePoint Infrastructure share a common vision to become the leading telecommunications infrastructure company in Asia Pacific in the 5G era.

“Wireless will continue to be the most widely used telecommunications service provider platform in the region and we will do our part well,” he said.
