Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID (English Edition) ● Gredu, an education startup (edutech) based in Jakarta, today announced the closure of its US$4 million Series A funding round.
Mohammad Rizky Anies, co-founder and CEO of Gredu, revealed that the proceeds from the funding will be used for market expansion outside the Greater Jakarta area, especially big cities throughout Indonesia.
The funding is also to accelerate the development of products that can be personalized to meet the needs of educators and school administration teams. Also, to support the recruitment of new talent.
As an edutech, Gredu has an application that offers four main components, including Gredu School Management System, Gredu Teacher, Gredu Parent, and Gredu Student.
Since its founding in 2016, currently Gredu, which implements a subscription system, has collaborated with 400 schools with more than 400,000 users.
“In this challenging time, digitalization has become a necessity for schools throughout Indonesia. With this funding, we want to create more Gredu products and reach,” said Rizky.
Next year, Rizky believes that digitalization in the world of education will continue to grow so that Gredu can expand the market throughout Indonesia, even expanding to the regional arena.
