Doctor Anywhere has successfully raised SGD88 million in series C funding from investors led by Asia Partners.

Singapore, TechnoBusiness SG Doctor Anywhere, a Southeast Asian online healthcare provider from Singapore, on Tuesday (31/8) successfully completed a series C funding round worth SGD88 million.

The new funding came from a number of investors, including Novo Holdings, Philips, and OSK-SBI Venture Partners, led by business development investor Asia Partners.

Previous Doctor Anywhere investors, including EDBI, Square Peg, IHH Healthcare, Kamet Capital, and Pavilion Capital, also participated in the funding.

Thus, since its launch in 2017, Doctor Anywhere has managed to raise a total funding of SGD140 million. During that time the platform grew rapidly.

Doctor Anywhere’s business has grown by 500% since early 2020. Its telehealth services have increased significantly as demand-driven during the pandemic.

Doctor Anywhere—which builds a health ecosystem, including health care providers, patients, and health care providers—is supported by approximately 2,800 doctors and health workers in the region.

To date, the platform is used by more than 1.5 million users spread across its initial expansion areas, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Apart from collaborating with many hospitals and other healthcare institutions, Doctor Anywhere has recently established regional technology centers in Bangalore (India) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

Doctor Anywhere founder and CEO Lim Wai Mun said the company’s newly acquired funding will be used to strengthen its leadership and market expansion.

“We will use this funding to improve digital features and expand Doctor Anywhere’s ability to deliver quality healthcare services in Southeast Asia,” said Wai Mun.

Oliver M. Rippel, co-founder of Asia Partners, stated that he was quite impressed with the achievements of Wai Mun and his team in developing Doctor Anywhere in such a short time.

Post-funding, Oliver M. Rippel and Dr. Amit Kakar, Senior Partner and Head of Novo Holdings Equity Asia, will join the board of directors of Doctor Anywhere.
