Manila, TechnoBusiness PH ● PLDT, Inc., the largest integrated telecommunications company in the Philippines, together with its wireless business unit, Smart Communications, Inc., are strengthening transaction security across all digital platforms using Vesta.
Vesta is an anti-fraud technology solution that guarantees online buying and selling transactions from PayMaya Philippines, the fintech business unit of PLDT Voyager Innovations. PayMaya is the only end-to-end digital financial services platform company in the Philippines today.

During 2.5 decades of operation with headquarters in Portland and representative offices in Atlanta, Miami, Ireland, Mexico, and Singapore, Vesta—whose product and company share the same name—has worked closely with global telecommunications brands.
Vesta’s real-time decision-making platform provides the artificial intelligence-based authentication and analytics technology needed to process legitimate transactions while rejecting suspicious transactions.
“Our mission is simple, which is to help companies scale their digital payments critical point.”
Thanks to this collaboration, from now on PLDT and Smart customers will get protection for online payment transactions that are safer, smoother, and more secure from PayMaya technology and without worrying about fraud due to Vesta technology.
“The combination of PLDT’s customer-centric digital solution, PayMaya’s state-of-the-art payment solution, and Vesta’s artificial intelligence-enabled fraud detection capabilities enable us to deliver superior service,” said Di Blanco, VP of PLDT and Smart Customer Experience.

Such a combination of solutions is necessary given that transactions are increasingly digital. In the Philippines, according to e-Conomy SEA 2020 research by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company, the pandemic has ushered in 37% of consumers new to digital services—and 95% of them will continue to use them.
Therefore, General Manager of Vesta Asia Pacific Shabab Muhaddes said Vesta is proud to be able to support PLDT and Smart. “Our mission is simple, which is to help companies scale their digital payments critical point,” he said.●
