Sharp Washing Machine Production Reaches 10 Million Units
Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production has accumulated 10 million units.

Despite the pandemic, Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production continued to grow and reached an accumulation of 10 million units.
Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID (English Edition) • Although many manufacturers have reduced production due to the pandemic, this does not include electronics manufacturer PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia.

In fact, in quarter 3/2021 Sharp Indonesia remains optimistic that it will be able to post a positive performance to continue the growth recorded in the previous quarters.
“We believe we can get through these difficult times and maintain the company’s positive pace since the beginning of the first quarter yesterday,” said Andry Adi Utomo, National Sales Senior General Manager of Sharp Indonesia, Wednesday (7/7).

Sharp Indonesia is also optimistic that this year it will be able to achieve sales growth, especially in washing machine products by 5-10%.
This optimism, according to Andry, is in line with the achievement of Sharp Indonesia’s 10 million washing machine production on July 1.
For information, the production of Sharp Indonesia washing machines is part of the long history of the Japanese manufacturer in the country.

Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production started at the Pulogadung factory, East Jakarta, covering an area of 4,537 square meters (m2) in 2008 with a focus on producing two-tube washing machines.
In 2013, Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production was moved to a larger factory (11,400 m2) in the Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC) industrial area, West Karawang.
Following the increase in domestic and export market demand, in July 2019 Sharp Indonesia expanded by adding a washing machine production line to the one-tube (full auto) variant.

Now, Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production has reached 10 million units. Sharp Indonesia President Director Shinji Teraoka also expressed his appreciation.
“We want to express our gratitude, in the midst of the pressure of this pandemic, we can still maintain the consistency of production,” he said.
In addition to the hard work and efficiency carried out internally by the company, Sharp Indonesia’s washing machine production achievements cannot be separated from consumer loyalty.•
