Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID (English Edition) • PT Indosat Tbk. (IDX: ISAT) became the first digital telecommunications company in Southeast Asia to commercially implement 5G Segment Routing services using Cisco’s SRv6 technology.

Cisco’s SRv6 technology enables Indosat Ooredoo, Indosat’s corporate brand, to transform its transport infrastructure into a state-of-the-art, programmable 5G transport.
Its Network Slicing technology enables 5G networks to be simpler, scalable, and agile with high reliability to meet the needs of retail and business customers.

Sanjay Kaul, President of APJ Service Provider Cisco, said that by using Cisco’s SRv6 technology, Indosat Ooredoo has pioneered the next phase of IP networking through simplification and automation.
Cisco’s SRv6 technology will allow Indosat Ooredoo to support Indonesia in transforming its digital economy, including driving product and service innovation, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
