Ahmad Abdulaziz A A Al-Neama ditunjuk menjadi Direktur Utama Indosat Ooredoo menggantikan Chris Kanter yang mengundurkan diri.
Jakarta, TechnoBusiness Star ● Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham Luar Biasa (RUPSLB) PT Indosat Tbk. (IDX: ISAT), atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Indosat Ooredoo, kemarin menyetujui pengangkatan Ahmad Abdulaziz A A Al-Neama sebagai direktur utama perseroan.

Pengangkatan itu dilakukan setelah Chris Kanter, yang baru menjabat direktur utama selama enam bulan sejak Oktober 2018, mengundurkan diri.
Ahmad bukan orang baru di Ooredoo. Ia sudah 15 tahun bekerja di kelompok bisnis telekomunikasi seluler asal Qatar tersebut.

Sebelum ditunjuk untuk memimpin Indosat Ooredoo, ia menjadi Chief Technology and Information Officer Ooredoo Group sejak 2017. Ahmad juga menjabat sebagai anggota dewan direksi Ooredoo Myanmar.

Kini, Indosat Ooredoo memiliki 53,3 juta pelanggan. Operator telekomunikasi seluler berwarna khas kuning itu mengoperasikan 22.015 base tranceiver station 4G di 422 kota dengan jangkauan 81% populasi.●
