Huawei invested US$150 million to run the Seeds for the Future Program 2.0. What is that?

Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID (English Edition) Huawei, a global technology company based in Shenzhen, China, on Thursday (15/7) announced that it would run Seeds for the Future Program 2.0.

Seeds for the Future Program 2.0 is a digital talent development program that is expected to benefit more than 3 million people worldwide in the next five years.

According to Huawei Chairman Liang Hua, to run the Seeds for the Future Program 2.0, Huawei disbursed an investment of US$150 million.

“Digital skills and literacy are not only the basis for the digital economy but also human rights that have been established by the United Nations,” he said.

In 2008, Huawei had developed a similar program through scholarships, technology competitions, and digital skills training.

Just like today, Huawei also disbursed more than US$150 million and benefited more than 1.54 million people from 150 countries.
