Qlue Raises Series B1 Funding Led by Global Brain

Qlue raises Series B1 funding from Global Brain, ASLI RI, and Telkomsel Mitra Innovation. What for?

Jakarta, TechnoBusiness ID • Qlue, the provider of the most complete smart city ecosystem in Indonesia, on Tuesday (8/6) announced that it had received the first round of Series B funding.

The funding was collected from several investors led by Global Brain from Japan through its investment group, KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

The investors participating in Qlue’s latest funding are ASLI RI, a company in the security and biometrics sector, and PT Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi, a subsidiary of Telkomsel.

[the_ad id=”13590″]Unfortunately, Qlue did not mention the value of the newly obtained funding. They only stated that the funding proves that the smart city business has great potential.

“We are very enthusiastic about funding from KDDI, which is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Japan,” said Rama Raditya Rusdi, founder and CEO of Qlue, in Jakarta, Tuesday (8/6).

The funding will be used to increase Qlue’s scalability in providing smart city solutions that can have a positive impact on society in the Industry 4.0 Era. [the_ad id=”13590″]

These efforts include increasing scalability to a number of sectors such as health services, industrial estate managers, hotels, property developers, state-owned enterprises, and others.

Qlue will also use the funds to expand its global market penetration by working on the Asian market especially Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines aggressively.

In addition, Qlue will also strengthen its smart city ecosystem by perfecting a variety of previously developed Artificial Intelligence/AI and Internet of Things (IoT)-based solutions. [the_ad id=”13590″]

Sho Ikeda, Director of Global Brain Indonesia, said that he was proud that Global Brain could form a partnership with Qlue through the Series B1 funding scheme. “Global Brain will proactively support Qlue,” he said.

Meanwhile, Telkomsel Mitra Innovation is also funding Qlue because it is in line with its digital trifecta focus, namely digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital services, for an inclusive digital ecosystem. [the_ad id=”13590″]
