For MDI Ventures, the funding for Alodokter this time is also a follow-up funding. Because, last November, the Telkom Group subsidiary has disbursed Series C funding with other investors.

Meanwhile, Samsung Ventures invests more in start-ups in telecommunications, software, internet, bio-engineering, and innovative new technology-based healthcare services.

Alodokter was again stolen by MDI Ventures because the platform was considered to have proven its maturity in providing comprehensive health solutions.

“Investment support will help the growth of healthcare services in Indonesia through the potential for collaboration with several state-owned entities,” said Donald Wihardja, CEO of MDI Ventures. [the_ad id=”13590″]

“Many lines will be strengthened, such as the development of technological innovation, the addition of experts, and the addition of features and functions,” explained Faibis. “However, Alodokter’s expansion has always been focused on the consumer experience.” [the_ad id=”13590″]

Currently, Alodokter, which Faibis and Suci Arumsari founded in Jakarta in 2014, has 30 million monthly active users and connects 43,000 doctors and 1,500 hospitals and clinics.

Jeffrey Bahar, Group Deputy CEO of Spire Research and Consulting, said that Alodokter is one of the most successful health technology platforms in Indonesia.
