Dalam daftar 100 Best Global Brands 2020 itu, Apple yang menjadi merek paling bernilai di dunia tampak jauh meninggalkan merek-merek lainnya.
Tahun ini, nilai merek Apple naik 38% menjadi US$322.999 juta, sementara Amazon yang naik 60% bernilai US$200.667 juta.
Microsoft berada di urutan ketiga dengan nilai merek US$166.001 juta (naik 53%), sedangkan nilai merek Google justru turun 1% menjadi US$165.444 juta.

Samsung berada di urutan kelima dengan nilai merek sebesar US$62.289 juta (+2%), sedangkan Coca-Cola, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, McDonalds, dan Disney yang berada di urutan 6-10 kompak mencatatkan nilai merek yang turun.
Dalam daftar 100 Best Global Brands 2020 itu, Apple yang menjadi merek paling bernilai di dunia tampak jauh meninggalkan merek-merek lainnya.
Dalam laporan 100 Best Global Brands 2020, Interbrand, anak perusahaan Omnicom Group, menyebutkan dari 100 merek yang masuk daftar, 43% mencetak pertumbuhan dan 57% mencetak penurunan nilai.
Jumlah merek-merek yang menurun nilainya itu jauh lebih banyak ketimbang tahun lalu yang hanya 29%.

Interbrand menyatakan pemenang tahun ini adalah merek yang terkenal karena pertumbuhannya yang sangat cepat, merek yang menjadi lebih kuat karena mampu melawan pandemi COVID-19.
Dalam daftar 100 Best Global Brand 2020, merek-merek yang kuat semakin kuat itu jelas berbasis teknologi. Kelima besar merek dalam daftar, misalnya, tampak nyata itu adalah merek teknologi.
Merek-merek yang baru masuk daftar pun sarat dengan teknologi. Merek-merek itu antara lain Instagram yang berada di urutan ke-19 dengan nilai merek US$26.060 juta.
