Pasar Semikonduktor Global Turun Tiga Kuartal Berturut-Turut
Pasar semikonduktor global tiga kuartal terakhir kembali anjlok setelah tumbuh delapan kuartal berturut-turut.
London, TechnoBusiness Insights UK ● Pertumbuhan pasar semikonduktor global dalam tiga kuartal (kuartal 4/2021-kuartal 2/2022) belakangan terus menurun. Tidak main-main, penurunan pada kuartal 2/2022 bahkan menjadi kuartal 2 terburuk ketiga selama 20 tahun terakhir.

Berdasarkan data Omdia’s Competitive Landscape Tracker yang dirilis firma riset pasar Omdia yang berbasis di London baru-baru ini, pendapatan pasar semikonduktor global kuartal 2/2022 tercatat sebesar US$158,1 miliar, turun 1,9% dari US$161,2 miliar pada kuartal 1/2022.
Tren penurunan itu terjadi setelah pendapatan pasar semikonduktor global naik delapan kuartal berturut-turut. “Perubahan ini terjadi setelah adanya lonjakan pertumbuhan yang luar biasa dari tren bekerja dari rumah dan belajar di rumah,” ungkap Cliff Leimbach, Senior Research Analyst Omdia.

Lalu, melihat siklus pasar semikonduktor global, Omdia memperkirakan sepanjang 2022 dan kemungkinan semester 1/2023 akan menjadi masa penyesuaian sejalan dengan pasar yang beralih ke kondisi normal. Penurunan kinerja Intel juga memengaruhi kondisi pasar.

Untuk diketahui, kinerja pasar semikonduktor Intel pada kuartal 2/2022 turun dan pendapatannya di segmen microprocessor pada kuartal 1/2022 juga anjlok 13%. Menguatnya nilai mata uang US$ terhadap banyak mata uang asing juga menekan pendapatan perusahaan.
Anjloknya permintaan konsumen, investori OEM yang tidak pasti, terhadap produk Intel dan Nvidia pada kuartal 2/2022 juga menyebabkan pendapatan pasar semikonduktor global turun sebesar US$3,7 miliar. Produsen semikonduktor lain, Qualcomm, juga sama.●
